Stewart Cottage Dedication

Thanks to a group of very generous donors, Stewart Cottage (our preschoolers’ residence) has been newly renovated! Interior demolition began in mid-January, with plans to redesign the children’s sleeping quarters into smaller bedrooms more suitable for pre-school children.

Along with new bedrooms, Stewart Cottage now has new carpet, an updated kitchen and family room, and completely renovated bathrooms with beautiful new tile and fixtures. The dedication ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 8, 2009. Those who wish to attend should RSVP by November 5.

Spring Valley PC Hosts Benefit Concert for Thornwell

Spring Valley Presbyterian Church in Columbia, SC hosted a benefit concert for Thornwell on Saturday, August 29 on the Spring Valley PC soccer fields. The event raised nearly $3,000 to support Thornwell’s ministry to children. Many thanks!

Driving Directions:
Take I-385 toward Columbia. Take I-20 east to Clemson Road, exit #80. Turn left on Clemson Road cross over I-20. Go 0.3 miles, turning left on Sparkleberry Lane, turning between the Exxon station and CVS. Go 2.1 miles, the church will be on your right, across from the high school.
