December 18, 2009, Clinton, SC – The employees of the Clinton branch of Wachovia Bank awarded a $1,000 grant to Thornwell Home for Children in recognition of the bank’s first-ever Community Partners Program. Wachovia branches across the country were provided the opportunity to choose a local charity for recognition and a monetary gift. Bank officers, Angie Hadon and Cason Mabry presented the check to Thornwell President Skip Stansell.


“Thornwell was our staff’s unanimous choice to receive the Community Partners Award,” said Hadon.


In receiving the award, President Stansell said, “Thornwell is honored to accept this gift from our neighbor and community partner, Wachovia Bank. We are grateful for this recognition and to be involved in the community alongside the staff of Wachovia.”


Thornwell Home for Children, a ministry of the Presbyterian Church (USA), is a joyful Christian community offering hope and wholeness to children and families.
