Baking Bread for Communion

During the first week of April, Thornwell Christian Educator, Finley Sutton, gathered the younger children in the kitchen on the first floor of the Nelson Building to sift flour, roll-out dough, bake fresh bread and learn all about Christian Communion and why it an important part of Christian life.

β€œIt is a time to remember all that Christ has done for each of us,” says Finley. β€œIt also shows our participation in the body of Christ when we come together in communion and worship. The children and I are baking enough bread to share with everyone in our congregation during communion on Sunday.”

Hartness-Thornwell Memorial Presbyterian Church cordially invites you to join us for Christian Communion on Sunday, April 18th at 11:00am. Visit the Contact Us page for directions.
