Thornwell’s 4-year- and 5-year-old Kindergarten Program

Thornwell’s 4-year-old and 5-year-old kindergarten programs are based on motivation and positive interactions aimed at promoting self-control, following instructions, cooperation and other learning skills. The goal of the program is to get children ready to learn in school.

Made possible through Child Development Educational Program (CDEPP) funding with First Steps and collaboration with Presbyterian College, Thornwell’s 4k program is free to qualifying families. Other students may attend for a tuition. Children aged 4 years old on or before September 1 are eligible to apply. Our 4k program is offered during normal school hours (7:30am – 2:30pm) with an after school option available (2:30pm – 5:30pm), and includes meals.

The 5k program is available for tuition-paying students. An after school option is also open to 5k students.
